happy fish

I like fish... like fish in a tank... like fish which are pets.

I like sushi as well - tho I suppose this is somewhat of a conflict of interest... in context of this post.

For the purposes of this entry lets assume that each time I mention 'fish' I am thinking of them in their pre-sushi state.

And so... I like fish.

We have a tank here at the office, and each day I spend some time with them.

I pull a chair up close to the tank and simply watch. They don't seem to mind.

They make me peaceful.
They bring me joy.

Bubbles are good, too.

What about screen savers that appear to be fish tanks, or fish in the ocean?

They, on the other hand, fear you because of the whole sushi thing. To them you are Godzirra. "Ohhhh nooo, eets Godzirra. She going to eat us! Swim! Swim!"

I'm very pro-fish. Teresa won't let me have any. Something about already having four pets, two of which cat, blah blah blah. I wish we had a fish tank at our office.

I love fish too. We have a giant tank at my place of work.

Me. Here. Right now. said...

Are those dead fish at the bottom of the tank?

I got over loving fish tanks when I had a part-time job cleaning them.

I'm glad you can still enjoy them.

fish tanks in dentist offices have been proven to lower blood pressure and reduce anxiety among the clients.

Little fish are okay, big fish like you see in tanks at Chinese restaurants just weird me out.

Years ago Fran and I were at Disney's Epcot, eating at the Coral Reef restaurant. It was kind of like going to an aquarium, monstrous tanks filled with sharks, stingray, turtles and various fish of all sizes. We were seated right next to the tank. I ordered lobster and scallops. Once it was brought to the table and I started eating I realized I couldn't eat seafood while staring at ocean creatures.

I just got a 44 gallon tank for home, my GF was all for it until the one fish she named was murdered during the night. Now she won't even look at them!

I adore fish and aquatic life. I've had a 50 gallon freshwater for about 6 years now. My favorites are my Bolivian Rams. So engaging and so beautiful. :)
