A load of laundry a day keeps... weese happy.

I used to do laundry everyday.
It was by choice.
I was never one of those people to wait and do several loads over the course of the weekend. I didn’t want my weekends filled with laundry.
One load each night(ok… maybe sometimes two and sometimes I would skip…).
Simple.
Wash/dry …then two minutes to fold and right upstairs to be put away and your done!

But I used to do laundry for more people.
These days we don’t have enough for a load every night. But old habits die hard.
So I had to chuckle last night as I was hanging my freshly laundered shirt… that I had just worn to work.

So your need to keep things clean and tidy in a timely manner exceeds your water conservation urge? I'll make a note of that.

Even when Jen still lived with us we only did laundry on weekends, still do. Of course some weekends it doesn't really get done, and it just piles up.

there's something cathartic for me in doing laundry. It's the putting away part I don't like.... I'll wash and dry and fold till the cows come home... but actually get it to the closet and drawers... nope! So, the laundry room has come to serve double as a large walk in closet :-)

And...isn't this going against a Friday Tip? Didn't you have a Friday Tip that urged your readers not to wash clothes if it wasn't necessary - that some things don't need to be washed right away and can be worn a second time?

Was this shirt particularly stinky, or are you flip flopping because it will soon be a presidential election year?

If I could do laundry every day I would. For about a week. Maybe.

well, my shirts.. never 'stink' :)
however - a shirt worn solo, without an underlying layer, will be washed with each usage.
its a fine line between conservation and fastidiousness

I'm with ya Weese... timely laundry makes me happy. When all laundry is done, it gives me a sense of peace!

Me. Here. Right now. said...

If you are bored not having enough laundry, please feel free to stop by. I still have kids at home who somehow get their clean clothes in the dirty clothes hamper because they never put them away from last time. Does this mean I'll miss it when they're gone?

Sounds like it may be time to change some habits. Good luck with that!

wow. i would make you CRAZY. I can go a few weeks without doing laundry...picking through things if I need to wear it again.

OR, if I DO finally break down and wash/dry something, I never fold it. The dryer becomes my closet. I just fish through it for whatever I need.

i'm a mess. literally and figuratively!
