I really need to get around to deleting my f@cebook account.
I got a message today from a fellow that lived on the next block over when I was a kid.
I may have played at his house a couple times...tho I really can't remember.
If I saw him on the street I would never know him.
Really... people... is this why you use this thing?
Oh... and it also really cracks me up the pictures that people decide to use of themselves. I am noticing folks in my age brackets (ie. too old for this shit) tend to use pictures of themselves on vacation.

That is precisely why I REFUSE to get on Facebook.
I like one of the games on it. It's fun and I've made new friends playing it. That's about it, I guess.

I like it. I'm a teacher and I use it to keep in touch with students, past and present, and I'm continually surprised by who gets in touch with me.
I like it! I can keep up with most of the bloggers and peeps I haven't seen since college and even grade school.
I detect you have strong feelings about this. Why is that? Facebook made you curse. You rarely, if ever, curse on your blog. Facebook made weese curse.
Interesting perspective. But not everyone who may message you will be a freak stalker from your youth. :)
I find it a simple means to keep up with my geographically-challenged extended family, quite handy.
Well I LOVE it! I love the Lesbians on it (Mainly eb & the Queen- they & their friends/family are so damn FUNNY!!!)
Then I wasn't going to, but I started letting Flight Attendant friends on (I swore I wouldn't) but THEN they were halarious...! For example, I've been on sick leave since May & I actually miss them. (not the job.) So guess what they're doing, taking pictures on the flights that are a riot with their iphones & posting them on fb. The greatest ones have been - how many FA's can you get in the Lav??? SO FUNNY, I swear.
Then I started to let people from My high school which I SWORE I wouldnt do, because I am from Texas & most are republicans, & I seriously have NO patience with their predjudice & homophobia... I really dont respond to dickwads & jackasses. It's been good, they know how I feel about their repub tripe & I don't have to insult them personally.
