To the point

I am often rather direct. This can hurt people's feelings.
It is not intended to do so. Nor does it bother me when it does.
That's really just your own mind games - and has nothing to do with what I am saying or doing. But I suppose that in and of itself is a whole 'nother post.

So - to the point then.

If you are currently watering your lawn, or washing your car, or perhaps rinsing off the driveway - please stop.
It's rude, selfish and unnecessary most of the time, but even more so while we are having a dry heat wave.

Thank you.

I see your 'direct' and raise you a 'blistering commentary'.

We need a way to merge our weather pattern with yours as it has rained every day here for the last couple of weeks...every...day...

i think that the same people who water their lawns during a dry spell should be out there with a hair dryer during a rainy spell

Does watering my herbs and flowers by hand count against me? I'd really hate to see the tomatoes whither up and die. Point well taken on the lawn, car, etc.. the lawn has turned a nice color brown.

I think hand watering is acceptable Clammy. :)

Oh, ask my students about wasting water, I'll bet you they can quote me verbatim!

Tell it like it is, Weese! Selfish bastards. Lawns should be BROWN in the summer. And cars? Pfft.

Gardens, however, are a different story. My vegetables get all the water around here.

What about the jackass down the street tonight watering his lawn? It has rained nearly every day for the past three weeks...wtf?
