Because I really wonder about stuff like this...

We live on a busy, well traveled country road. The cars drive much too fast. I have a theory about people who drive too fast - but not only would that offend way too many of my friends, it's really fodder for another post.

On our busy road we have a double yellow line, and there are no stop signs, traffic lights or speed bumps to slow people anywhere near our house.

So it just makes me wonder how something like this...
could land in our driveway.

So I try to imagine the scenarios...

1) A kid is driving along, almost home and realizes Oh! wait... look what I'm still wearing...
~toss.

2) A couple, hopefully in the backseat, reaches climax say... 1/2 mile or so down the street. She lights up a smoke, he...
~toss.

3) A guy is driving home after a particularly busy night and is cleaning out the car on the way...
french fry box
~toss.
beer can
~toss.
you get the idea....

hmmm, what do you think?

I'm laughing too hard to think of alternate scenarios...

(Oh, and - nasty!)

hmmmm...a critter picks it up from somewhere. wanders aimlessly until the sight of something much more interesting appears. hence, debris.

Yeah, we get stuff like that in our yard too. We're much more rural so it doesn't really surprise me. Still gross though.

I once pulled a huge, glass beer mug out of one of the front flower beds. Amazing what some people will throw out of their cars.

Stuck to the mailperson's shoe? I'd also go w/ the critter theory-And, There were many concert go-ers in your household- and many encounters w/ random folks- not to say random sex occured- But, just the instance that we all leave something behind whether it's physical or spiritual..... ya know what I mean? ;-)
I wonder how you disposed this beast of burden? eew!

wow, never saw one of those in a driveway, but when i worked for a hotel, room clenaing, well, it could get pretty gross sometimes. ever try to untangle one of those from the brushes in a vacuum cleaner?

maybe the squirrels found it and dragged it there? umm...bears are starting to use safer sex practices? you startled a couple of mating teenagers and they ran so fast it was left behind (you know, like shoes and clothes get left behind in cartoons)?

i agree with sassyfemme...ewww!

Um, you know those things aren't really necessary in a monogamous, long-term, lesbian relationship. I know you like things neat, Weese, but that's a bit much.

It weren’t no cloud or nuthin’ but it was sorta rubbery and all and I called out my husband, I said ‘Purdue,' that’s my husband, Purdue Ballew, 'I said looky here at this here rubbery thing up yonder up there,’ well, he looked up and it says, “Yup, thems the rubber aliens.
