tip-o-day
I am generally a big proponent of following the rules.
Rules appeal to my organized nature and tend to calm me and make me happy.
But we shouldn't follow rules mindlessly.
Don't forget to think.
For example, it's not important that you stay in the lines when you color.
However... staying in lines while driving is.
Do you see the difference?

So am I still allowed to color outside the lines while I am driving?
My GF thinks the lines on the road are just 'suggestions'. She scares the hell out of me.
What is this about it being okay to color outside the lines?
Otter's GF is close: the speed limits are mere suggestions.
You mean I'm NOT supposed to cross that line into where you are just because I want to?? That's not fair!
Driving in DC is a sport.
Bing swears that I have my own little rule book and follow no other. Like, I insist on writing a thank you note (I was raised to call it a "bread and butter note") within one week of receiving anything, but I cannot follow a sports team if they have an ugly outfit.
I also can go over the grocery budget by twenty dollars but can NEVER go over the gas budget for any reason.
What is so frackin hard about those rules?
