Being proud takes stamina people.
We start the day at 8a.m. - getting organized and having breakfast 'juice' before heading to the train.
On the train we noticed some young people getting ready for the parade.
A little brunch at a favorite place.
Waiting in the hot sun for entirely too long.
No sooner did the parade start...
When the rains came.
We took shelter in a local bar.
We were so wet it was as if we jumped into a pool. Even things in my pockets were soaked. Luckily, I had rain gear for my phone.
Then off to a great little Italian place - where things started to get blurry.
And so we kept drinking...
Then into the subways to head back to the train.
We had some extra time to appreciate Grand Central Station.
Finally... heading home on the 9:07.
whew.

it rained on DC's parade as well....
y'all are too fucking cute.
Where are the wet t-shirt pics?
I just love the pic of the two of you in bar, that's too dang cute for words!
The pic of the crowds lining the street? That's why Fran will never go to NYC pride, she'd HATE those crowds.
That looked so gay.
(could you hear the jealousy in my voice?)
Yay Gays!
You bunch of DRUNKS!!!
I'm so proud.
Yes yes, we got wet at the DC parade too! It added to the experience.
Y'all are adorable, but then you know that. :)
Now that looks like a good day out.
Wow Weese,
I used to live right there on Christopher st & Bleeker before Doris & I bought a little house in NJ.
Yep!
Everyday was a gay parade.
I dont like it so much anymore - everyone is SO damn young.
Still go in to eat at Manatus on Bleeker there.
What great pictures!
